The Sum of All Thrills closed permanently at Epcot after just under seven years in Innoventions East.

Sources disagree by one day. Wikipedia gives the run as October 14, 2009 - September 14, 2016, and TouringPlans states "This attraction's final day of operation was September 14, 2016"; the August 2016 announcement instead named September 13 as the last day to ride while saying the attraction would be "retired as of September 14." September 14 is recorded here on the weight of two independent sources. Wikipedia lists Raytheon as sponsor for the full 2009-2016 run, but no cited source states that the sponsorship's end caused the closure, so no cause is claimed.

Raytheon added an online version of The Sum of All Thrills that let people build virtual roller coasters, jets and bobsleds at home, and let Epcot riders re-watch their designed ride by texting a code.

The Sum of All Thrills opened in Innoventions East at Epcot, letting guests design a bobsled, roller coaster or jet ride on a multi-touch table and then ride their creation in a KUKA robotic-arm simulator.

Attractions Magazine reported on October 14, 2009 that the Raytheon-sponsored ride "opened today at Innoventions East at Epcot"; guests chose a roller coaster, bobsled or jet plane on multi-touch object recognition tables. Height minimum 48 inches, 54 inches if the designed ride included inversions. Billed as Innoventions' first ride.
