D23's Backstage Magic entry reads verbatim: 'Show in Epcot Computer Central sponsored by Sperry, from February 4, 1984 to October 1, 1993. Superseded the Astuter Computer Revue.' The Astuter entry states the reciprocal, 'Superseded by Backstage Magic.' Wikipedia's CommuniCore article frames it more softly as Disney having updated and relaunched the tour under a new name; that framing was weighed against the pure-rename exclusion and rejected, given two separate D23 attraction entries, the 33-day dark gap, and different composers for the two scores. The dissent is recorded here rather than dropped.

Wikipedia's accompanying claim that this was the park's shortest-lived attraction was NOT carried: the raw wikitext shows that sentence has no citation, unlike the footnoted sentences around it.

Attempted to explain the workings of computers, by utilizing animation and the actual computers used to operate many of the Epcot attractions.' The CommuniCore East placement is carried from D23's Epcot Computer Central entry: 'Display of the actual computers which run Epcot in Communicore East, sponsored by Sperry, from October 1, 1982, to January 30, 1994.'
