LaughingPlace reported on January 19, 2016 that "Habit Heroes sponsored by Florida Blue Cross closed in Innoventions on Sunday, January 17th, 2016 for good." January 17, 2016 was a Sunday, so the report is internally consistent, and Wikipedia's infobox carries the same closing date. A wdwmagic report of January 21, 2016 cited by Wikipedia is bot-blocked and could not be opened for this check, so it is not listed as a source.

Habit Heroes reopened at Innoventions East after an eleven-month retooling that replaced hosts Will Power and Callie Stenics with Director Jin and agents Dynamo, Quench and Fuel, dropped the obese villains for foes named Blocker-Bots, Sappers and Scorchers, and swapped the entrance and exit.

Day-level precision is not asserted: Wikipedia's infobox gives an opening date of January 18, 2013, and that day rests on the infobox alone, while Attractions Magazine reported the reopening on January 19, 2013 without stating the day it returned. Attractions Magazine also recorded that guests received red, blue or green wristbands with matching mission cards, that a free Habit Heroes app launched on iOS and Android, and that "the entrance and exit have been swapped."

Habit Heroes soft-opened inside Innoventions East as an interactive healthy-living exhibit sponsored by Florida Blue Cross, in which guests followed hosts Will Power and Callie Stenics through three interactive sessions and fought personified bad habits.

Only the month is asserted because the sources disagree on the day: HuffPost says the exhibit "opened on February 3rd as part of Disney's Innoventions," while Wikipedia's infobox gives a soft opening date of February 4, 2012. A first-hand AllEars walkthrough published February 18, 2012 records that "Will Powers and Callie Stenics led our group through three interactive sessions," confirming it was operating that month.

Disney suspended Habit Heroes in late February 2012, about three weeks after the soft opening, after physicians and body-image advocates attacked its obese villains, among them Lead Bottom, The Snacker and Sweet Tooth, as fat-shaming.

This was a temporary suspension, not the end of the attraction: it returned in January 2013. Disney framed the shutdown as part of the soft-opening period, and HuffPost reported on February 24, 2012 that the exhibit was "suspended until further notice" and its website taken down. The exact day is not asserted. The widely repeated claim that it shut within days of opening does not hold, because the AllEars first-hand visit published February 18, 2012 shows it still running two weeks in.
