The CommuniCore buildings reopened as Innoventions on July 1, 1994, with Innoventions West occupying the CommuniCore West space that had held FutureCom.

Wikipedia's Innoventions article gives July 1, 1994 for both Innoventions East and West and states they replaced CommuniCore; Extinct Disney also gives July 1, 1994, and Walt Dated World says only 'July of 1994,' consistent at month precision. The FutureCom-to-Innoventions-West mapping follows from the exhibit's documented CommuniCore West location rather than from a source naming FutureCom directly.

Held at month precision because the day is contested: D23's FutureCom entry ends the exhibit on January 31, 1994 and Walt Dated World gives January 31 for both CommuniCore buildings, while Wikipedia's infobox and Extinct Disney give January 30, 1994 for the pavilion. Nothing found indicates FutureCom ended before the building did, though sibling exhibits did close early - Expo Robotics in October 1993 and the Astuter Computer Revue in January 1984.

FutureCom, the Bell System's walk-through communications display anchored by the Fountain of Information and The Age of Information kinetic sculptures, opened with EPCOT Center in CommuniCore West on October 1, 1982.

D23 dates the exhibit itself: 'Display in Communicore West sponsored by Bell, from October 1, 1982, to January 31, 1994. Showed how people gather information, including some of the latest technological advances.' Wikipedia and Walt Dated World also place FutureCom in CommuniCore West, and Extinct Disney describes the Fountain of Information and The Age of Information. A source used in earlier research (lostepcot.com) was dropped because its TLS certificate has expired and the page cannot be opened.
