Innoventions East closed permanently on September 7, 2019, and its building was later repurposed as Connections Eatery in Epcot's World Celebration neighborhood.

The Communications Dream Forum continued through the renovation of Innoventions for Epcot's Millennium Celebration, after which the pavilion carried the subtitle "The Road to Tomorrow."

The Communications Dream Forum opened in Innoventions East at Epcot as Motorola's sponsored exhibit.
