CONFIDENCE NOTE: June 16, 2018 is an ANNOUNCED final date, not a confirmed one. It traces to a Disney performer quoted in a WDWMAGIC thread opened 2018-05-27 ("June 16th will be the last day for the show"), affirmed the same day by a second poster, and to a WDWNT article of 2018-05 headlined "Discovery Island Carnivale Dance Party at Disney's Animal Kingdom Ending This June." No post-event report confirming the final performance actually took place was located. SOURCE CONFLICT, DISCLOSED: TouringPlans' archived entry instead reads "This attraction's final day of operation was March 15, 2020" - the park-wide COVID-19 shutdown date. We could not establish why the two disagree, and we do not claim the TouringPlans date is mere boilerplate: the same site dates Flights of Wonder to December 31, 2017 and It's Tough to be a Bug to March 16, 2025, so it does record genuine pre- and post-shutdown dates. We publish the 2018 date because it is contemporaneous, specific, sourced to the production and corroborated in two places, and because no coverage of the act appears anywhere after 2018-02-02 - but a reader should know the discrepancy exists and can check both links below. PERMANENTLY CLOSED - VERIFIED: the Carnivale is absent from TouringPlans' current 32-entry Animal Kingdom attractions-and-entertainment roster, absent from Disney's present entertainment listing, and appears in no post-shutdown "returning" coverage; Disney's official page has no Wayback capture after 2017-04-09.
