With the July 8, 2014 opening of Diagon Alley, Ollivanders began selling new interactive wands that let guests cast spells at marked locations throughout Hogsmeade.

Ollivanders wand shop opened on June 18, 2010 as part of the inaugural Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hogsmeade at Universal's Islands of Adventure, featuring a 'wand chooses the wizard' fitting show.

The shop was built on the former Lost Continent / Merlinwood section (home to the Flying Unicorn and Enchanted Oak Tavern); Wizarding World construction began in January 2008 and those venues were closed by July 2008.
