Crossroads of the World opened as the entrance shop at the start of Hollywood Boulevard at Disney-MGM Studios (now Disney's Hollywood Studios), beneath a tower topped by Mickey Mouse.

The shop sits beneath a recreation of the 1936 Crossroads of the World tower from Hollywood's Sunset Boulevard, its Art Deco spire topped by a 5-foot-3 Mickey Mouse standing on a 6-foot globe sculpted by former Disney master sculptor Perry Russ.
