The 50th Anniversary 'Vault Collection' overlay decor and anniversary banners were removed from the shop in March 2023 and replaced with Disney100 decor as Walt Disney World wound down its 50th anniversary celebration.
A Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary 'Vault Collection' overlay arrived at the shop in October 2021, adding retro 1971-reproduction merchandise plus overhead banners of past anniversary logos and themed history displays.
Celebrity 5 & 10 opened on Hollywood Boulevard as an original opening-day shop of Disney-MGM Studios (now Disney's Hollywood Studios), themed as a vintage five-and-dime variety store modeled on Hollywood's 1928 J.J. Newberry Building.
