The original second-floor ImageWorks opened with EPCOT and closed permanently in 1998, later converted to a DVC lounge.

   The original ImageWorks — 'The Image Works: Creative Playground of the Future' — opened with EPCOT Center on the upper level of the Imagination pavilion, a hands-on gallery of creative experiments including the Rainbow Corridor, Magic Palette, and Stepping Tones.

   The upstairs ImageWorks closed on October 10, 1998 when the pavilion shut down for the Journey Into Your Imagination retheme; the second-floor gallery never reopened to the public.

ImageWorks relocated to the ground floor as a Kodak-sponsored venue in 1999, operating under that partnership until 2010.
