Terminator 2: 3-D Battle Across Time opened in the Hollywood area of Universal Studios Florida, combining a James Cameron-directed 3-D film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong and Robert Patrick with live stage performers and in-theater effects.

Soft openings began April 1, 1996 ahead of the April 27 grand opening. Reported cost was about $60 million, of which roughly $24 million was the film alone.
