Added a new opening training scene with 'Buddy,' a support-bot animatronic that preps riders before launch, replacing the prior 'Astro-Accelerator' load-area scene (rangers firing at a spinning disco ball).
Installed interactive targets that light up and change color when hit, and equipped each Star Cruiser with a video monitor displaying real-time scoring.
Replaced the fixed, vehicle-mounted laser cannons with handheld, removable blasters featuring an always-on aiming laser plus added lighting, sound, and vibration effects.
Officially reopened after roughly eight months, with redesigned Buzz Lightyear / Star Command 'Star Cruiser' vehicles, refreshed scenes, and an overhauled interactive shooting game.
Closed for an extensive multi-month refurbishment — the attraction's first major overhaul since opening in 1998.
Officially opened as an interactive Toy Story shooting dark ride, built into the former If You Had Wings / Take Flight building and reusing its 1972 Arrow ride system; original blasters were vehicle-mounted and fixed.
