Second-generation interactive wands debuted March 1, 2025 at $90.53 with tax, adding light and haptic (rumble) effects, Universal app integration, and new Hogsmeade spell locations (the Owl Post and a Dueling Club tent by Hogwarts Castle).

Ollivanders wand shop opened on June 18, 2010 as part of the inaugural Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hogsmeade at Universal's Islands of Adventure, featuring a 'wand chooses the wizard' fitting show.

The shop was built on the former Lost Continent / Merlinwood section (home to the Flying Unicorn and Enchanted Oak Tavern); Wizarding World construction began in January 2008 and those venues were closed by July 2008.
