Hogwarts Always, a seven-minute projection show ending in one of four house-specific pyrotechnic finales, took over Hogwarts Castle on June 14, 2024 as the successor to The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle.

Orlando Informer frames Hogwarts Always as the replacement for the 2018-2023 run of The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle. Its first season ran June 14 to August 25, 2024, and it has continued in the castle's rotation since.

The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle stopped running in about 2023 and did not return.

Orlando Informer dates the run 'from January 31, 2018, until approximately 2023' and says Hogwarts Always replaces it; Wikipedia lists the show as permanently closed while marking the castle's Dark Arts and Christmas productions as seasonal in the same table. Orlando Informer's own attraction page still read only 'temporarily unavailable' when checked in 2026, and no source gives a final performance date, so year-only precision is used.

The show returned to Hogwarts Castle on July 1, 2021, after the coronavirus pandemic halted nighttime entertainment at the resort.

The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle debuted at Universal's Islands of Adventure on January 31, 2018, after previews on January 26 for vacation-package guests and on January 27-28 during A Celebration of Harry Potter.

The roughly five-minute projection-mapping show was lightly narrated by the Sorting Hat and gave each of the four Hogwarts houses a moment on the castle. The same production had debuted at Universal Studios Hollywood on June 23, 2017.
