In February 2024 the shop's marquee was updated to 'Now Showing Mickey Mousterpieces,' rebranding the store around Mickey Mouse-themed souvenirs and merchandise.

For Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary, the shop was reconcepted in September 2021 into a retro-themed Vault Collection store selling re-created and re-imagined vintage Disney merchandise.

After VMK Central closed on September 30, 2007, the space reopened in November 2007 as 'The Art of Disney' gift shop selling Disney artwork and collectibles.

By 1988, coinciding with Mickey Mouse's 60th Birthday, the cinema switched exclusively to showing classic Disney animated shorts.
