In 1986 the Pottery Chalet's outdoor patio was converted into the Christmas Chalet, and part of the shop later became the You & Me Kid store.

The Pottery Chalet opened with the Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village (later the Walt Disney World Village Marketplace, now Disney Springs Marketplace) on March 22, 1975, offering live pottery demonstrations and handmade decorative collectibles, and was at one point the largest shop in the Village.
