In August 2011 it was confirmed that Magic Masters would not renew its West Side lease and would close, to be replaced by jewelry retailer Something Silver.
Magic Masters, a third-party themed magic shop (part of a small four-store chain, of which the Downtown Disney location was the largest), opened at Downtown Disney West Side by at least October 2001. Its interior recreated Houdini's personal library, complete with fireplace and bookcases, and a live magician was on hand to demonstrate sleight of hand before customers bought tricks.
