In early 2016 the neighboring Disney Outfitters was walled off (January) and reopened as Discovery Trading Company (March, with the name becoming official in April), folding Riverside Depot into the combined Discovery Trading Company retail space.

Riverside Depot opened in December 2015 as a retail expansion onto the Disney Outfitters building near the Discovery Island entrance (right of the Tree of Life), selling general Disney parks merchandise.
