The adjacent area was rethemed into the Springfield, U.S.A. land on the former International Food and Film Festival site, making The Simpsons Ride the anchor of a fully themed land; the land's Kang & Kodos' Twirl 'n' Hurl spinner followed Aug 11, 2013.
Received projection-system upgrades and a few new Homer lines recorded by Dan Castellaneta, refreshing the in-ride media in the summer after the adjacent Springfield land opened.
Opened as a projection-dome motion simulator in the former Back to the Future: The Ride building (closed March 30, 2007); the building was overhauled and the original Intamin simulator system updated by Entech Innovative Engineering for the new attraction.
