The Five & Dime gift shop occupies a facade modeled on the historic 1935 S.H. Kress & Co. five-and-dime and serves as the exit shop for the original Horror Make-Up Show, which has operated in Universal Studios Florida's Hollywood area since the park opened in 1990.

The Universal Monsters Collection by Faith in Chaos, a line of apparel and accessories featuring Tristan Eaton designs of Dracula, Wolfman, Frankenstein's Monster and other monsters, arrived as new merchandise at the Five & Dime in October 2025.

By October 2021 the Five & Dime had cemented its Universal Monsters merchandise identity, adding a machine of eight new Universal Monsters pressed-penny designs (two of Frankenstein's Monster plus six other monsters).
