TODAY Cafe held its grand opening at the front of Universal Studios Florida on May 16, 2019, replacing Beverly Hills Boulangerie with an NBC TODAY show–themed quick-service restaurant featuring Studio 1A theming, marked by a live broadcast with Al Roker and an 'orange carpet' event (soft opening had begun in late April/early May 2019).
TODAY Cafe's launch menu featured in-house baked pastries, salads and sandwiches plus an exclusive dark-roast coffee blend of Sumatran, Peruvian and Ethiopian beans, with signature items including Hoda's Chopped Muffaletta Platter ($15.99), The Carnegie pastrami platter ($15.99) and Park Avenue Avocado Toast ($13.99).
Beverly Hills Boulangerie — a quick-service bakery near the park entrance and one of Universal Studios Florida's original 1990 opening-day eateries — closed permanently on Jan 7, 2019 after 29 years, later replaced by the TODAY Cafe concept.
