The vintage Coppertone Sun Care Center sponsorship sign, which had remained on the store's exterior for decades after the sponsorship ended, was removed from outside Star Traders.
After a September–November refurbishment, the shop was renamed from 'Mickey's Star Traders' to simply 'Star Traders,' dropping its steampunk Mickey-head logo and Stitch City mural in favor of new teal-and-white exterior signage and interior.
Mickey's Star Traders opened in Tomorrowland as a Coppertone-sponsored souvenir and sun-care shop, reconcepting the earlier Mickey's Mart that had occupied the site since the 1970s.
