The Never Land Tribe scene was reimagined after a roughly six-week refurbishment (closed July 8): the headdressed chief and caricatured figures were removed for redesigned, more dignified figures, with Tiger Lily and her grandmother performing a Fancy Shawl Butterfly Dance by the fire.
An indoor interactive queue debuted, theming the standby wait as the Darling family nursery with shadow-play effects, ringable bells, and Tinker Bell-triggered pixie dust.
Peter Pan's Flight opened in Fantasyland, two days after Magic Kingdom's debut, flying guests over Never Land in suspended pirate-galleon vehicles past Audio-Animatronic scenes of Peter Pan and the Lost Boys.
