On December 10, 2010, Disney announced that Mickey's Toontown Fair — including Minnie's Country House — would close on February 11, 2011 to make way for the New Fantasyland expansion (Storybook Circus).
The surrounding land was officially rebranded from Mickey's Starland to Mickey's Toontown Fair on Magic Kingdom's 25th anniversary, with Minnie's Country House as an anchor attraction.
