An exterior facade refurbishment began behind scrim and scaffolding (ride stayed open); by mid-2026, as the scrim came down, the central cupola was revealed refinished in a darker, shinier metallic tone instead of the former beige stone color.

An on-ride PhotoPass effect was added: a hidden camera behind the final portrait-gallery wall captures riders during a lightning-flash, delivered automatically to My Disney Experience via MagicBand.
