Around February 1, 2018, The Friar's Nook overhauled its menu, dropping its specialty barbecued-chicken mac & cheese for a new lineup of Loaded Tater Tots (Buffalo Chicken, Fiesta, and Greek) plus deep-fried Twinkies for dessert.

The Friar's Nook opened on March 26, 2009 in Fantasyland as a quick-service eatery themed to Friar Tuck from Disney's Robin Hood, taking over the space vacated by the McDonald's-branded Village Fry Shoppe.
