The theater reopened as the Mickey Shorts Theater, re-themed with Mickey Mouse curtains and seating and showing the animated short Vacation Fun, on the same day Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway debuted.

MiceChat's preview, published March 3, 2020, describes the theater opening the following day with the exclusive short Vacation Fun, red and gold velvet curtains, seats styled after Mickey's shorts and a new post-show photo area, and names Path of the Jedi as the prior tenant. Wikipedia confirms the March 4, 2020 change and the simultaneous Runaway Railway opening.

Star Wars: Path of the Jedi played its final day of operation at Disney's Hollywood Studios and closed permanently.

TouringPlans states "This attraction's final day of operation was December 31, 2018," and Wikipedia's prose says it "was permanently closed on December 31, 2018." Two other figures conflict and were not used: the Wikipedia infobox lists January 1, 2019 (an apparent off-by-one against its own prose), and the Sounds Dangerous! article says the theater showed the film "From December 4, 2015, to May 14, 2018," which most likely marks the end of the daily run before the seasonal-only final stretch.

Star Wars: Path of the Jedi, a roughly ten-minute film compiling scenes from the Star Wars saga in thematic rather than chronological order, opened in the ABC Sound Studio theater at Echo Lake as part of the park's Season of the Force.

Month precision only. Wikipedia's Sounds Dangerous! article and the Path of the Jedi infobox both give December 4, 2015, while the Path of the Jedi article's own prose says July 4, 2014 with no citation. The 2014 date is not credible because the film was created for Season of the Force, which began at Disney's Hollywood Studios in December 2015 when Star Wars Launch Bay opened with the event. No source was found that settles the exact day.
