Jessie's Trading Post opened in a quiet, unannounced debut on July 22, 2022, at the exit of Toy Story Mania in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Jessie's Trading Post replaced the previously sparsely-themed gift shop (a former Cast Member break room) at the Toy Story Mania exit, with merchandise organized into sections themed to individual Toy Story characters such as Woody and Buzz.

Disney announced via the Disney Parks Blog on January 19, 2022, that Jessie's Trading Post, a new Toy Story-themed gift shop, would open later that year at the Toy Story Mania exit in Toy Story Land.
