Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! opened in the show's former theater on May 26, 2026 as the redeveloped area debuted as The Walt Disney Studios Lot.

Blog Mickey reported in April 2026 that the 20-minute show would take the former Disney Junior theater in the former Animation Courtyard with eight daily performances from May 26. Wikipedia's attraction list records the Soundstage Theater as closed to make room for it and files the new show under a Stage 1 Theater heading, so the same-building reuse is well supported but not worded identically across sources.

The show returned to the same theater in a shorter, socially distanced form renamed Disney Junior Play and Dance!

Extinct Disney gives August 2020 as the reopening month and TouringPlans describes the returning version as shorter, socially distanced and actor-less, so only the month is asserted. Wikipedia's articles instead carry the Dance Party! name to May 2025 and date the Play and Dance! name to September 2025.

The show gave its last performance under the Disney Junior Dance Party! name when Walt Disney World closed for the COVID-19 pandemic.

TouringPlans records March 15, 2020 as the final day of operation under that name. Wikipedia's park attraction list treats December 2018 to May 2025 as one continuous run and does not mark the pandemic break.

Disney Junior Dance Party! opened in the Soundstage Theater (Soundstage 5) in Animation Courtyard, taking over from Disney Junior - Live on Stage!, which had closed on September 1, 2018.

Attractions Magazine reported on December 21, 2018 that the show would debut the following day. The show ran about 20 minutes with the audience seated on the floor so they could get up and dance.
