The venue reopened as 'Tangierine Cafe: Flavors of the Medina,' reconcepted from a full quick-service restaurant into a festival marketplace booth with a limited menu of falafel and grilled kebabs for the 2021 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
Disney announced on October 22, 2020 that it would assume operations of EPCOT's Morocco pavilion, including Tangierine Cafe, from its third-party operating participants by the end of the year.
After reopening with EPCOT on July 15, 2020 following the pandemic shutdown, Tangierine Cafe closed again on August 1, 2020 amid low park attendance.
Tangierine Cafe opened in EPCOT's Morocco pavilion as a quick-service restaurant serving shawarma, wraps, and Mediterranean platters.
