Following closure, club artifacts were dispersed: several props were worked into Hong Kong Disneyland's Mystic Manor (opened 2013), and the face of Babylonia was later relocated to Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar in Disney Springs.

The shuttered Pleasure Island club buildings, including the Adventurers Club, were demolished as the district was cleared (demolition of the neighboring Motion and Rock 'n' Roll Beach Club structures took place between December 2010 and February 2011). The cleared site was later redeveloped into The Landing neighborhood of Disney Springs, which opened in April 2015, with no nightclub successor on the site.

Disney announced that the Adventurers Club, along with all the other clubs on Pleasure Island, would close permanently on September 27, 2008 as the district was reconceived for dining and shopping.

The Adventurers Club, an interactive 1937-themed nightclub filled with the memorabilia of fictional explorer Merriweather Adam Pleasure and staffed by improvising cast-member 'adventurers' alongside animatronics and puppets, opened as part of the debut of Pleasure Island at Walt Disney World.
