Reports on March 13, 2021 confirmed Universal Orlando had discontinued Dippin' Dots resort-wide after more than a decade, including its dedicated CityWalk snack stand beside the Lagoon Stage.

By mid-December 2020, Universal had pulled the Dippin' Dots menu and removed the Toon Lagoon kiosk (a KidZone stand still stood) — an early sign of the resort-wide phase-out that later reached the dedicated CityWalk stand.
