UP! A Great Bird Adventure opened at the same Caravan Stage theater, replacing Flights of Wonder with a version of the bird show that added Russell and Dug from Disney/Pixar's Up.

Wikipedia lists UP! A Great Bird Adventure under Asia: "Opened April 22, 2018, replacing Flights of Wonder." Attractions Magazine (May 1, 2018) confirms the Caravan Theater venue and that "This is the first time that both Russell and Dug appear onstage at Disney's Animal Kingdom." Wikipedia further records that the successor's final performance was March 12, 2020 and that the Asia stage now hosts Feathered Friends in Flight, confirming Flights of Wonder itself never returned.

Disney announced during its "12 Days of Disney Parks Christmas" campaign that an Up-inspired bird show with Russell and Dug would replace Flights of Wonder at the Caravan Stage in 2018.

Both news items are dated December 11, 2017. Laughing Place: "Today, as part of the 12 Days of Disney Parks Christmas, the Disney Parks Blog announced..." naming the Caravan Stage; Attractions Magazine places the debut in spring 2018 at the Caravan Theater in Anandapur Village. The later six-facts piece confirms the show "was announced last December during the '12 Days of Disney Parks Christmas' as a replacement for 'Flights of Wonder,' the original bird show."
