The Animal Kingdom Rainforest Cafe reopened on July 11, 2020 alongside the park's phased reopening, after Landry's closed its locations nationwide for COVID-19, with added health and safety measures (face coverings and contactless payment per Disney World's reopening protocols).
The Rainforest Cafe chain, including the Animal Kingdom location, was acquired by Houston-based Landry's Restaurants Inc., which has operated the venue ever since.
Rainforest Cafe opened at the entrance/Oasis of Disney's Animal Kingdom on the park's opening day, a jungle-themed table-service restaurant accessible from both inside and outside the ticketed park.
