D23 2026 set Monstropolis to open in 2027, and confirmed it opens in phases: the Glob Theater show, the dining and the shop arrive first, while the Monsters, Inc. door coaster follows later rather than debuting with the land. Disney gave the land its premise — set after the film, when a Monstropolis that now runs on human laughter throws its H.U.M.A.N. Day celebration — and named its full venue roster: Harryhausen's, Archie's Scare Pig Pizza, the Monsters University Alumni Club and the shop known as The Scareporium.

D23 2026 confirmed Harryhausen's opens with Monstropolis in 2027, taking the table-service building Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano held until it closed on May 10, 2025. The restaurant will feature a tentacled Audio-Animatronic sushi chef preparing monster-sized dishes in view of guests, and Imagineering said the menu goes well beyond sushi.
