Eight Spoon Cafe reopened after being closed for over a year amid COVID-19 physical-distancing and capacity limits, with a menu that brought back the Pulled Pork Jelly Doughnut from the 2019 Animal Kingdom Tasting Sampler.

The cafe's menu now featured three baked macaroni and cheese dishes (classic, pulled pork, and shrimp with sweet chili sauce), cementing baked mac and cheese as its signature offering.

The Discovery Island snack kiosk was renamed from 'Beastly Kiosk' to 'Eight Spoon Cafe' as part of a round of Animal Kingdom kiosk renamings, receiving a fresh paint job and a name nodding to the eight-tentacled carved octopus in its window.
